Care Plus NJ, Inc. is the leading provider of comprehensive, recovery focused mental health and substance abuse services in Northern New Jersey. The Challenge

Care Plus’ previous payroll vendor was unresponsive, pricey and offered an outdated HR product that required their IT department. As a non-profit organization, Care Plus requires a cost-effective portal to manage payroll and employee benefits. An HR department comprised of five administrators processes all HR functions for 325 employees, demanding an effective HRMS platform.

The Choice

Care Plus selected CheckPoint HR’s largest package, CheckPoint Plus, which encompasses payroll, human resources, employee benefits, employee assistance program, training and recruiting.

The Solution

CheckPoint HR’s integrated Web-based system offers payroll services, HR tools such as background checks, employee self-service and custom reporting all of which does not require the IT department. In the future, Care Plus hopes to streamline recruitment and hiring processes and move into a 100% paperless environment using CheckPoint HR’s Web-based HRMS portal.

The Results

Care Plus now has a complete payroll and benefits provider that saved 50% on its payroll services and received 100 percent more in HR support. Housing all HR-functions in a central Web-based location streamlines the HR department as well as provides self-service tools to Care Plus employees. Benefits savings were realized through The Wilshire Group, an affiliate of CheckPoint HR.
