Life Events
Our online Employee Self Service and Electronic Benefits give your employees the ability to view their health plans, payroll deductions and history, as well as register status changes like marriage, birth, or retirement, year-round. Managers are automatically notified by email of requested changes, and once they're approved, all electronic files are automatically updated (requires electronic open enrollment). And it's more than just convenient-it significantly reduces paperwork and HR/Benefit office traffic, adding hours back into the workday.
Electronic Open Enrollment
Our powerful HRMS platform provides the ultimate fast, easy, and accurate electronic open enrollment process. Your employees log on, view descriptions of their plan options and costs associated with their choices, and select the right plan for themselves and their family with the click of a mouse. Then an electronic report of employees' choices is sent to the benefits administrator for review and approval. Built to be effortless and efficient-like all our solutions.
The online benefits enrollment module allows you to manage the process from A to Z. Carrier Feeds / Electronic Eligibility
For clients with more than 50 employees enrolled in a particular benefit plan, CheckPoint HR will develop a custom data feed that serves as a direct link from the HRMS application to the carrier's eligibility system.
CheckPoint HR makes it simple with automatic updates of all pertinent data managed within our Payroll/HRMS database. Information transmitted includes open enrollment changes, life event changes, employee and dependent data changes that are entered by HR, carrier invoice reconciliation prior to remittance, benefit expense allocation by division, deduction management, payroll deduction reports (by employee), client facing portal for 24/7 access and a daily report on benefit changes.
You never have to worry about the security of your data, CheckPoint HR passes data changes to the carrier on a weekly basis through an encrypted data portal that meets HIPPA and HITECH security requirements.
Web Processing
For clients with fewer than 150 employees enrolled in a particular benefit plan, CheckPoint HR will develop a custom data change report that is used to capture changes entered into the HRMS application.
The CheckPoint HR web-based employee election processing uses the changes that are entered into HRMS application as the trigger for direct employee and dependent updates via the carrier's web based eligibility portal.
Some examples of data changes include open enrollment elections, life event changes, employment status changes and indicative data changes.
By entering directly into the carrier's web-based eligibility portal, CheckPoint HR eliminates the needs for you to do double entry of your employee information, saving time and increasing the quality of your data.
Using a Section 125 Plan to Save Premium Dollars
Today's record-high costs for benefits are making it more expensive than ever for employers to provide quality benefits for their employees. In fact, many companies are struggling to meet the financial and security needs of their employees without undermining the company's own financial stability.
CheckPointHR helps organizations implement an innovative and cost-effective benefits management tool: Section 125 of the Internal Revenue Code.
With Section 125, employers have the power to establish tax-advantageous programs that can significantly enrich their current benefits plans. As a result, controlling and maintaining benefits costs can be substantially improved, today and into the future.
