IT Help Desk -Desktop Support Analyst

We are expanding our staff and seeking an IT Help Desk -Desktop Support Analyst to join our New Jersey team. This is not an opportunity to be missed! Our company is growing approximately 22% each year and we invite you to be apart of our success.

This role will be responsible for managing an IT Help Desk queue and all aspects of desktop support. This position requires great troubleshooting skills, the ability to independently research and problem solve, and support experience in a Windows Desktop environment. In addition to meeting the technical requirements, we are looking for a dynamic individual with great interpersonal skills and a strong sense of teamwork; someone that is very eager to excel in this position and take on new responsibilities. Growth in this role will lead to more project based work and roles in application support and systems administration.

Responsibilities will also include:
  1. Monitoring help desk queue by solving problems and escalating tickets as needed.
  2. Supporting 60+ users with typical desktop issues including printing, connectivity, passwords, and application support.
  3. Support Blackberry mobile devices and email profiles.
  4. Manage phone and computer inventory.
  5. Monitor the replacement cycle of equipment.
  6. Manage internal new hire and termination processes.
  7. Monitor Windows updates and virus definitions on all desktop nodes.
  8. Maintain documentation for all responsibilities.
  9. Create knowledgebase articles to facilitate troubleshooting.
  10. Provide weekly and monthly reporting on desktop inventory, performance, and other metrics.
  11. Perform additional independent project based work.

Requirements
The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements:

  1. Bachelor's Degree.
  2. Experience supporting a Windows Desktop environment.
  3. Experience with Active Directory, supporting mobile devices, Exchange, and/or Ghosting software.
  4. Strong sense of teamwork.
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  6. Time and project management skills; ability to multitask and prioritize.
  7. Highly detail oriented, results orientated, enthusiastic and self-motivated.
  8. Possess the ability to problem solve using sound judgment and be customer service orientated.
  9. Ambition and passion for technology. 


Exceptional candidates may have some of the following:

  1. Certified MCDST
  2. Experience with Microsoft SQL.
  3. Experience with scripting languages, VB.Net, or Windows Power Shell.
  4. Understanding or experience with ITIL framework.
